Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926–1998) is one of Denmark’s most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. Known for his innovative and futuristic approach, he worked extensively with plastics and bright colors.
His iconic Panton chair, produced by Herman Miller, is molded from a single piece of plastic, features flowing convex and concave shapes that comfortably wrap the body. Beyond chairs, Panton also designed timeless lamps like the Panthella, notable for its elegant, monochrome white design.
His signature style combined simplicity with sumptuous elegance, creating pieces praised for their comfort and warm appearance. Panton’s work remains celebrated for pushing design boundaries while maintaining a harmonious balance between form and function.
